Chidori is Kakashi's first original technique, though he now uses an S-ranked version known as the Lightning Blade. He created it around the time he was promoted to Jonin, and later taught it to Sasuke.

A variation on a regular Chidori developed by Sasuke Uchiha during his two-and-a-half year training with Orochimaru, this jutsu allows the user to generate non-focused electrically charged chakra from his body, instead of concentrating it in his hand. Because the electricity isn't focused, it doesn't kill on contact, instead only paralyzing its victims. By sending the current into the ground Sasuke can stun opponents from a distance. Sasuke can also channel the electricity through metallic weapons like his Kusanagi sword, increasing their cutting power, as well as making body parts numb by cutting them.

However, each of these additional blades is proportionally weaker than a single focused Chidori. Like other Chidori-related techniques, this jutsu will numb any target it hits.

Kirin is an extremely powerful, one-shot lightning technique that strikes in the blink of an eye. The user draws lightning directly from thunder clouds to supplement the power of his or her strike, and controls it with chakra. Because the technique uses natural lightning as opposed to elemental chakra, its power easily outmatches all other Lightning Releases. However, the extreme preparation time required also decreases the technique's efficiency. This technique in the absence of active thunder clouds requires Fire Release: Great Dragon Fire Technique or other such techniques to produce the necessary storm conditions to initiate it.
To initiate a lightning storm, and then to take control of lightning in order to guide it to a target while using the shape manipulation shown above, drained even Sasuke of most of his chakra. In addition, usage seems to destroy the thunder clouds as the sky cleared up of clouds after use. As such, this technique can only be used once in a fight. However, natural lightning can reach a temperature of 30,000 °C, so that even if it misses the target, the sizable blast will likely eliminate the enemy. Itachi withstood this technique by using Susanoo.

By combining his twin swords at their hilts and rotating them, Raiga can use this jutsu to surround himself with electricity. The intense electric field protects him by electrocuting anyone who makes contact with it, but only works for one attack. This armor seems very strong as it is capable of standing up to Rock Lee's Drunken Fist.

The Lightning Blade is an enhanced form of the Chidori with the same effects and drawbacks, but more concentrated. It is said to have gained its name after Kakashi split a bolt of lightning with it. Because the Chidori is already powerful on its own, the Lightning Blade requires better chakra control, which is exemplified in its appearance. The Chidori appears as simply a mass of white electrical chakra in the user's hand, while the Lightning Blade is more focused and blue. In Part I he is limited to using it four times a day, but by Part II he can use it at least six times.
Kakashi has shown different ways of forming and using the Lightning Blade. During his confrontation with Orochimaru in Part I, he creates it without using hand seals. In Part II he is able to form a Lightning Blade in both of his hands to counteract Lightning Release: False Darkness. Soon afterwards he uses it in a downward cutting motion rather than a thrust to free Naruto Uzumaki from Kakuzu. To keep up with its name, Lightning Blade now emits the sound of electricity, rather than birds chirping.

Description: Mizu Bunshin no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique that utilizes water to create a Bunshin clone. Unlike a normal Bunshin, the Mizu Bunshin has the ability to interact more with the environment due to it having physical substance. This allows the clone to carry out limited attacks on its target. The range of the clone is limited, however. It cannot travel very far from the original body. If the Mizu Bunshin is injured, the clone will revert back into its natural water state.
*Note: The maximum amount of clones that can be created is 2, each with their own action per turn. The clones cannot use jutsu over C Rank but can perform most other actions. The ninja must keep their body touching the water prison to maintain its existence. If the contact is broken, the water falls away and their target is released. When combined with a Bunshin technique, the ninja can imprison their target with the use of the clone so long as it can use such jutsu.

(Lightning great cut) Raikozan changes the user's chakra in the form of lightning, forming massive bolts of black electricity between the user's hands, which is then shaped into the form of a massive blade or trowel shape. The jutsu itself is perfect for attacking large targets or piercing through barriers or walls. Since the jutsu drains a tremendous ammount of chakra, the jutsu can only be done when the user is in dire need, and only then for a brief period for a singular slash. [B-Rank]

(Lightning Element - One Hundred Thunder Claps Technique) This technique involves a physical lightning component, and also a secondary sonic component. The user channels a large amount of lightning into their palms and then claps them together. The lightning is compressed and then forced out in a shockwave around the ninja that radiates for about twenty feet in every direction. While not deadly, the shock can be incapacitating. As a secondary effect, the clapping of the palms and discharge of lightning creates an abnormally large sound once described by the former Raikage as "the force of one hundred thunder claps" (hence the technique's name). This sonic component is much like a sonic boom and is able to shatter glass, rupture eardrums, and even knock people off their feet. [B-Rank]

(Lightning Element - Lightning Storm Technique) For this ninjutsu, the user channels chakra into a handful of kunai, shuriken, needles, or other forms of projectiles, and tosses them into the air. Once thrown, the objects release their chakra in the form of powerful lightning strikes. These strikes can target the same enemy, or multiple foes. The only limit on how many objects can be used this way is simply how much the user can throw with one hand. However, the more that are objects thrown, the more chakra that is used. (Lightning Release: False Darkness) A lightning type attack useful at all ranges, Gian is performed by first forming the necessary handseals, ending with the raiton-element oriented handseal of monkey. Lightning nature chakra is then focused through both arms of the user. The arms are then extended forwards powerfully in a pushing motion. A momentary crackle of lightning between both hands serves as a warning before an electric blue "spear" of lightning is launched forth from between the user's hands. A fast and powerful attack, the Gian covers distance at an alarming rate and can easily kill an opponent if they are hit directly. The sheer power of the technique also grants it the ability to damage an opponent who is still relatively close to the attack, should they dodge it. An added feature of the Gian is the ability to split into two separate bolts of lightning to strike another target. The power of the attack is halved, making it only twice as powerful as the average Raikurai. [B-Rank]
Raiton: Toruneedo Raitoningu
(Tornado Lightning) Through the use of this technique, the user performs the needed handseals and flows chakra into their hands. Two lightning bolts about 50 feet long shoot out of the user's hands, remain, and begin to whip around wildly, completely destroying the surroundings. The lightning whips deal a heavy shock and a lot of destructive force. The user can control these whips only slightly with a major exertion of their own chakra. [B-Rank]

(Thunder Dragon Blast Skill) The user creates a blast of lightning shaped like a large dragon, and send it thundering towards their opponent(s). If this attack hits, the victims will most likely be shocked to death. (Note: Like Suiryuudan.) [B-Rank]

(Thunder Saber) Through the use of this technique, the user will perform the needed handseals and flow chakra into their hand. The chakra will be highly condensed and will make the user's next punch strike with a heavy, earth shattering, explosive impact. [B-Rank]
Yurezuchi no Jutsu
(Quaking Thunder Technique) The user raises their hand and a bolt of lightning strikes into their arm. The user will then proceed to slam their hand into the ground, cracking it and unleashing a torrent of lightning bolts through the ground and at the target. [B-Rank]

Raiya Houchou
(Lightning arrow step) By harnessing the earth's electrical fields to generate electricity, this works as long as the user's legs are connected to the earth. When in use, this allows the user to nearly instantly to close short distances and strike within the same motion. Usable at distances of several feet or less, this allows one to deliver an electrically charged palm thrust should it connect. If no contact is made between the ground and the user's legs, this is unusable. There is a downside as the user cannot change directions once the technique is initiated, thus allowing a more skilled opponent to dodge if they see it coming. [A-Rank]

After the spinning wind stops the target will be dizzy and disoriented leaving them open for attack.

Description: This technique was developed as a quicker way to give or retrieve an object at crucial moments in a given range. By focusing on an object and then using ones chakra and performing a few handseals, they will form a small ball of wind around the object in an attempt to lift it. At this point the object can either be gently carried over, or the ball can be dispersed sending the object flying. The stronger ones mastery of wind is, the heavier the object(s) can be taken. Most commonly used for small blades, kunai, shuriken either retrieval, or even a surprise attack. However note that this jutsu can't be used to freely move around a weapon in mid-air. It can only make it return to you, or send it flying in a random direction.

Description: After using Kugutsu no jutsu the user will apply elemental affinity to their strings in this case wind. Only five strings can be made at any time because of the added focus in applying the element. No other jutsu that requires seals can be preformed unless this one is canceled for obvious reasons. When fuuton affinity is added to the strings they will act like small jets of harmless wind flowing out of the fingertips, through the chakra strings. This technique does not require hand seals.

Description: The user concentrates wind chakra to their feet. With this, every time they step, a slight amount of chakra is let out into the air, causing it to absorb the sound, silencing the person's steps. This is still only from the impact of feet with ground, so if they step on a twig, the cracking could still be heard, or if they step on a board that creaks. However, they could run through a hall way at full speed using this jutsu and not be heard.
Kaze Bunshin no Jutsu [Wind Clone Technique]

Description: This is a Ninjutsu technique that utilizes wind to create a Bunshin clone. Unlike a normal Bunshin, the Kazu Bunshin has the ability to interact more with the environment due to it having physical substance. This allows the clone to carry out attacks on its target. Also, elemental clones can think, but only on the rudimentary level, and the concentration for their jutsu needs to be maintained by the user. When this clone disperses, it reverts into a blast of wind.

- Each bunshin takes 1/10 of your chakra pool to make.
- Training to halve chakra consumption results in you being able to choose between giving it 1/20 to 1/10 of your chakra.
- Bunshin can only travel a moderate distance from the user
- Bunshin have 1/10 the power of the user. This includes weapons, items, powers, speed, reaction speed, etc.
- Elemental Bunshin can perform taijutsu, non-elemental jutsu, and elemental jutsu of its own element that the user knows, so long as the jutsu maintains contact with the elemental clone through the whole time. Note however, that an elemental clone only has as much chakra as the user gave it, and some of it is used to maintain the clone. Attempting to use a jutsu the clone no longer has enough chakra for will cause the bunshin to burst without the jutsu being performed.

Description: After performing the necessary hand seals, the user places their hands on the ground creating one or more underground tunnels filled with compressed air. These tunnels act as invisible traps, though each tunnel takes up as much chakra as most jutsu of its rank, so their positioning must be carefully determined. When the user decides it is time - generally when the opponent has stepped atop of a trap - they clap their hands together, causing it to explode, releasing a burst of air with enough force to send the target over a dozen meters into the air.

Description: This is a Ninjutsu technique that utilizes wind to create a Bunshin clone. Unlike a normal Bunshin, the Kazu Bunshin has the ability to interact more with the environment due to it having physical substance. This allows the clone to carry out attacks on its target. Also, elemental clones can think, but only on the rudimentary level, and the concentration for their jutsu needs to be maintained by the user. When this clone disperses, it reverts into a blast of wind.

Description: It will begin by creating a giant ice barrier, which will surround the user, or desired target. For the mighty guard technique, the user will then summon a water barrier in beneath the ice barrier. The two will act in a cycle feeding off the other. as the ice is chipped away, water will fill in through the cracks, and re form into ice, at a high speed, and keep the barrier strong, not allowing any attacks in. As well, the ice barrier can send spikes from the outer walls, and reform from the water, for those who venture to close, or can fire them, for those who stay back.
The grand prison technique is almost the exact opposite in theory. Instead of place the water barrier beneath the ice, it surrounds the outer layer of the barrier, and thus keeping the target inside. As well, spikes can form from the ice wall, or fire from the ice wall, and pierce the target within. Both techniques are very strong, and only the strongest of attacks can actually penetrate and destroy the barrier itself. This technique is also one which is very draining in chakra, and only those with a great amount of chakra, and chakra control, can use this technique more than once, with minimal consequences on the body.

The ice head is capable of exploding, and sending shards of ice at the enemy as well, where the water can be used to surround the enemy and trap, or with better chakra control, even drown, or crush the opponent. The jutsu can defend against weaker fire jutsu, keep the user cool under extreme temperatures by using chakra to constantly keep the water cool, and makes some forms of weapons (slicing type of weapons) and occasionally kunai slide off the armor. The jutsu of course is a constant drain and uses up a lot of chakra to maintain.

Description: By doing a string of handseals, that user will use this jutsu to cause a nearby body of water to form many spinning drills around the target. The water seems to cause small vortexes that then erupt into these spinning fangs and assault the target.

Description: This jutsu gives the user the ability to create a defensive wall of water through doing a string of hand seals. The wall may be blown out as jet of water from the user's mouth that forms into a barricade or even gush out of the ground. However, it's more usual to use a source of water to make this technique less draining.

Description: The water beneath the opponent begins to spin furiously and after a few moments develops into a strong whirlpool that is intended to suck the opponent deep underneath the water whilst the spinning movement should provide enough shock to make them lose their breath. However the whirlpool is only small (about 6 foot radius) and can be easily avoided if the opponent is aware of the danger.

Description: A wave of water produces beneath the user's feet as soon as he finishes the handseals for this jutsu. The wave seems to raise more beneath the user as it thins back to the sides. It would seem like the user is surfing and the wave is his means of moving on the water. This jutsu lasts as long as chakra is consumed for it.

Description: This technique is used to create a massive blast of water. Once done with the handseals, water beneath the user will swirl up creating a circle and then it'll gather and explode ahead like a spinning violent torrent going for a long distance. Behind that torrent, water will flood to both sides at a high level. Handseals are ox, monkey, hare, pig, bird, ox, horse, dog, ram, tiger, snake, ox, monkey, and hare. This is a very destructive jutsu, capable of uprooting trees and destroying the ground.

Hyouton: Idaina Keibitai - Gurando Keimusho [Ice Release: Mighty Guard - Grand prison]

Description: It will begin by creating a giant ice barrier, which will surround the user, or desired target. For the mighty guard technique, the user will then summon a water barrier in beneath the ice barrier. The two will act in a cycle feeding off the other. as the ice is chipped away, water will fill in through the cracks, and re form into ice, at a high speed, and keep the barrier strong, not allowing any attacks in. As well, the ice barrier can send spikes from the outer walls, and reform from the water, for those who venture to close, or can fire them, for those who stay back.
The grand prison technique is almost the exact opposite in theory. Instead of place the water barrier beneath the ice, it surrounds the outer layer of the barrier, and thus keeping the target inside. As well, spikes can form from the ice wall, or fire from the ice wall, and pierce the target within. Both techniques are very strong, and only the strongest of attacks can actually penetrate and destroy the barrier itself. This technique is also one which is very draining in chakra, and only those with a great amount of chakra, and chakra control, can use this technique more than once, with minimal consequences on the body.
Hyouton: Koori-Mizu Tsuin Atama no Haidora [Ice Release: Ice-Water Twin Headed Hydra]

Description: This technique produces two dragons, one of ice and one of water, which fuse together to form a dragon, with two heads. If a head is destroyed it is able to regenerate, with extra chakra used, but this technique can be very draining as the size and power of the jutsu makes it hard to maintain. The ice head is capable of exploding, and sending shards of ice at the enemy as well, where the water can be used to surround the enemy and trap, or with better chakra control, even drown, or crush the opponent. But once again this technique is very draining on the user, and therefore cannot be used too much and for too long.
Suiton: Oogata Suirou no Jutsu [Water Release: Big Water Prison Technique]

Description: Similar to it’s predecessor, Oogata Suirou no Jutsu controls the density of water to make an inescapable sphere of water. As the name suggests, however, this prison is much larger, capable of holding 10-20 people at once, and requires several users at once. Like the previous technique, all of the user’s must have one hand submerged in the orb at all times, in addition to concentration being required to be maintained as well, however, once the prison has been set, it doesn't require further chakra to be maintained.
